What can I say..I LOVE
The film JAWS was released in June of 1975. It would become know as the "Original Summer Blockbuster". The novel was already terrifying readers, while the book cover was already frightening beachgoers. The poster art work still influences marketing to this day! The film's release set off a merchandising explosion. T-shirts, hats, toys, posters, and jewelry were just the beginning. In a short time JAWS had sunk it's teeth into everything. Soon it would break language barriers and begin releasing in multiple languages. What followed was three sequels, one of them a first in the 3D genre. JAWS even once attacked visitors at all 3 Universal Studios Theme Parks. With JAWS turning 40 in 2015, and the recent years Jaws Fest gatherings - let's just say there is no way to know what collectables are out there and where! However it is a thrill for me to go out looking for them, and hopefully sharing it here!
I created this site to highlight items from my personal collection of JAWS movie memorabilia. Now my collecting has a very wide spectrum. I collect across all four films - and yes I will proudly say I love them ALL! I collected for a long time thinking I might be alone. Only I have come to discover so many other JAWS fans and friends over the years! My idea behind this site was to offer photos of memorabilia and merchandise from all four films., rides, etc. Along with any information on the items I had to share. My hope was to create an eye candy and reference site of sorts, as well as other Jawsome things! Most of my knowledge comes from research I have done personally for items I've obtained. I reference the internet mostly, and ask for information from trusted friends and fellow collectors. So please feel to offer information or inquire about any particular items. When I created the site name I chose the plural form "Collections" to hopefully expand in the future to adding photos from your personal collections. So dust off those shelves and get your cameras ready!
